This is my baby boy!! Already three years old!!! I had big plans to take him to town to do his pictures and then I decided to let him pick. He wanted to go to a John Deere Tractor and the 'swather tractor' and the Hay barn. It turned out to be so much fun! He loved doing them because we were in his element and he liked calling the shots. He did a few of his own poses but his poses have a lot of jumping involved so he only got to do a few of those.

I would like to finally introduce my beautiful new daughter, Jaicee Jannene Broderick. She is the reason I have not blogged for the last 6 months. It has taken me that long to figure out life with four kids!! But she is so wonderful, the best baby we have had. She sleeps all night and is good natured. So on with the pictures!!

For all of those of you that I have taken your pictures this last 6 months I will be posting most of you in the next few days, I am going to play the biggest game of internet catch up I have ever done!! Don't be mad at me, blame Jaicee!!! And she is so cute you can't be mad at her!!!

Aren't these girls gorgeous!! You might recognize Rylee from last July's Wedding, she was the flower girl. Thank you to the Mommy's who came so prepared. They handmade all the skirts the morning of the shoot! Now that's talent right there! It was fun and I think the group turned out so cute- aren't we lucky! Aralynn wasn't to keen on getting her pictures taken after her nap was interrupted. And I so wish my baby gets red hair like Emery, my chances of ever having one are all on the table with this baby.

Senior season is in full swing!! I did Coltons sister in 2008 and I got to shoot Colton this year! He is into biking as you can see, which was alot of fun to shoot. Every time he jumped and twisted around in the air my stomach went into my throat. It looks so dangerous. But at least it's him and not me, I would kill myself!! Thanks Cheri and Colton! So I am very excited to post these because this little lady made me work very hard to be able to! This was our second go around trying to do these. The first time I spend 3 hours with her and we tried cookies, candy, and frosting to get her to stop crying. She is only happy when her Mother holds her in one certain position... that's all! She will smile instantly if held in this position but if you attempt to put her down you are in for it! So we barely got some six months and low and behold she did well for her nine months!! Yay! So Lacey, Alayna, and me spent a long time acting like doggies and waving flowers in the air but it worked!!! She smiled!!!!!! Lacey, thanks for being patient, it was all worth it.

This is the first time I have done pictures for my Cousin Amber. This is her third little girl Hadley Joe. Her name is special because she is named after my Cousin Joe (Amber Youngest Brother) that died when he was 25 from cancer. Amber it was so fun to see you!! Your girls are beautiful.

This is the first of a few baby girls being born this summer from our family. Jody is next and then me!!!! Yay!!!! And our friend Kim is due right after me with another baby girl!!! Holy Girls! Our little angel will not have a shortage of girlfriends at the family parties that's for sure.

Aren't these kids adorable! It was a cold day in february but we got it all done. The mothers are absolutly gorgeous so, of course, these kids are beautiful now and I think they will continue to be extra beautiful as they grow too. Thanks Mindy and Kacee!!!

If anyone is thinking of scheduling spring pictures I am almost completely booked before this baby is born. I only have 3 appointments left. If you would like one please call me as soon as possible. I will not be working from May 15 through July 15. During that time watch the blog for my sweet little newborn, we are guessing she'll be arriving at the end of May. But with my babies we never really know!

Welcome little Wylie Dean Alder!! This little man is my lovely Sister Lori's first little boy! He looks more like an indian baby instead of my red headed sisters child. He is so beautiful!!! Can you tell I am attached to my neices and nephews? My Dad keeps sending us these little gifts from Heaven, my turn next...

This saddle is very special. When my sisters and I turned 12, my Dad gave us one of his prize saddles he won from riding saddle bronc. At his funeral we displayed all of these saddles. Mine is currently in my front room on a beautiful saddle stand that Matts Dad handmade for me.

This is so much fun for me to follow through with a family from the wedding to their children being born. These two wonderful parents had to wait a very long for this little miracle to come into their family. I know so many families that have adopted a child and you know that Heavenly Father sent them to that family, a perfect fit. This little lady looks just like her Mom!! Yay!! She is here and she is beautiful!!! Thanks you guys, I can't wait for April to see you all again!!!

Mary 6 Months

This is sweet little Mary, you should all know her well by now because her Mommy (my oldest Sister) is picture crazy their first year. We do newborn, 1 month, 2 month, 3 month, 6 month, and 12 month. We used to do 9 month but now we just wait for 12. I am a photographer and she is way better at getting their pictures taken then me.

So these look like Christmas pictures but we actually did them in February. We decorate with Christmas baby pictures in our family so we just take them whenever we can. She was a pill with not letting us take her picture. This session lasted 5 hours start to finish. Of course that included breaks for driving her and feeding her. But she just wasn't interested in getting her pictures taken and we didn't figure out her magic recipe until the 4th hour and half. Long night!! To make it all better though, my pregnant sister Lori watched all of our kids while we were doing this. Did I mention she was 9 months pregnant and not in the mood to watch kids. So yes, it was one of those nights.

So I promised I would update my blog, and as you can see, I decided to enjoy my blog a little more. I went on a little pre-baby shopping spree with my photography studio so I will be completely ready for my last baby's newborn session. I have also been making bows like a mad person, and they are so CUTE!!! So for all of those lovely ladies that I know are having girls with me be excited for your shoots, they will be amazing!!!

So watch the next few days as all the missing sessions appear!

This was one of those shoots where everything ran late. But we still managed to get some very cute images and the girls were very good!! That made it easy to fly through it faster. Thanks Jennifer!! Sorry it took me so long to post them!

Snowy Mornings in Rush Valley

So Dean and I went out this morning to feed the cows in a blizzard. I thought I would bring my camera so everyone can see how much it snowed this morning!! The weird thing is if you go outside right now everything is very muddy but no signs of what we had this morning. February is mud month in my book. I should put a picture of my kitchen floor during February- It's awful!!

The first time I did this families pictures was when she had her last baby 5 years ago. We have done their pictures many, many times since then and I never thought we would be doing another newborn session! Blessing Dress Envy

So for all of those wonderful women that sew out there, feast your eyes on this!! Lacey, my dear sister, hand made this beautiful blessing dress for what she is sure will be her only daughter. Now I don't know fabric and stuff but I know this fabric is very special. It cost almost $200 just to make this dress! So the day of the blessing she wore her regular diaper with two onesies and over the top another size 5 diaper. All in effort to keep those unexpected blowouts from touching the precious fabric. Lacey you are very talented and I will forever be the jealous little sister, first that you are so talented and secondly that your babies are so good and happy.

So these two have been close family friends since before I was born. My mom babysat the Daddy of these little girls, so he is like our only brother in a way. My Grandpa nicknamed him Uncle Charley and it still sticks. The Grandma and Grandpa have been so good to us our whole lives. When my Dad passed away Julie was one of the first to hug me and she cried just as hard as I did. So you can imagine how honored I am every time they call me to do their pictures and the thrill it is for me to walk into their homes and see these big family portraits that I get to make for them. Also, it is the cutest thing in the world, Grandpa Ray has watched these pretty girls since the first was born every day. He is the second Mom. The second little girl is even named after him, RayLee. I love it!

The Big News

So for those of you that don't know our news, we are having another baby!! Number 4! And yes, I am very excited, now, well sometimes.

This pictures cracks me up. For all of my friends out there that have little kids and are still working taking pictures, do your kids join you for almost every session and demand that they get their picture taken too? Well this is one of hundreds of my little ones that one of them came downstairs and joined me. Plus he wouldn't leave until I took his pictures and walked him past the scary witch (long story). And yes, this is what he was wearing all day, it started with a shirt that he spilled all over and took off himself to put in the dirty clothes. When I tried to replace the shirt it was a kicking crying fit. And yes, his face is dirty from brownies to try and keep him upstairs. So here he is in all his glory! Tah Dah!!

I would like everyone to know that I am finally done with all my shoots until we go to Hawaii, so this next week I will be putting up everybody that has been waiting patiently. I am going to my marathon computer work for the next week. Plus I will be making a thanksgiving feast at my house to add to all my fun things to do before I leave town.

For those of you that don't know my sweet husband and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary this coming April!!! I am super excited! But my sweet Grandma gave us a week in her condo in Maui!!!! WooHooooo!!! So I will post my sunny, warm, white leg pictures here when we get back from our fantastic vacation!!!

This is my cute Grandma's (that is generously giving us our Maui stay) Sister. I always say we get alot of our good genes from this side of the family. Grandma and her sisters are like little girls. They love to vacation and play games. They are always running around and always look so cute because they take very good care of themselves. Thank you Aunt Gwen for letting me do these pictures for your family. It was great seeing everybody!!

Welcome to the 2010 Miss Tooele Contest! Here are all the contestants running this year. So we did it a little different this year. I have to pick the most Photogenic winner every year and it is so darn hard! So we experimented this year with giving the girls a chair and 3 basic poses to choose from and jazz up them selves. Well the winner was easier than ever to choose this year because I got to see how they work it with out my help. So... Drum Roll Please... the winner for Miss Photogenic is Miss Ashley Eccles!!! She worked it in front of the camera for our tiny 5 minutes together. I loved her expressions and she was very comfortable. Good Luck girls!! My baby is six

I can remember the day as if it were yesterday when I saw two pink lines and hoped I was getting a little girl. Well 5 seconds later she was born and 5 seconds later she is preparing to go to Kindergarten! I cried my eyes out at preschool graduation remembering holding her and rocking in her pink bedroom in my white rocking chair. I love her so much, I am so proud of her for being such a good person and always wanting our approval for her. Alayna naturally cares when someone gets sick or is hurting or sad. After Dad passed away she has been there holding my hand everytime I needed to cry and says to me 'It's good to cry mama, get it all out'. The same I say to her. I love this little lady more than I can even describe.
We did these at home around the ranch. I LOVE her serious faces, it makes her crystal blue eyes sparkle. So I printed the one in front of the green tractor with her yellow hat. She actually picked it out, but I just love it too. I love you Alayna, I know we have alot of happiness in store with you.

For our fourth year in a row we have had the pleasure of shooting this Local Dance Team. But for the first year my very own babies danced. Pamela runs a wonderful and affordable dance group that my girls love. We had a competition at Lagoon last weekend and the final big show is coming next week! So I do know where Layton is but it was super bad weather and I barley made it in the nick of time for the ceremony, can we say sweating! This was one of those magical weddings where you really feel like the couples love is so pure that you just want to hug your own sweetheart to feel that magic that radiates from the couple. Even when I see her at home depot I want to hug her. I am getting weird in my old age (inching closer to thirty by the second).

By the way does anybody else love the new Hannah Montana song- party in the USA? I heard it yesterday and have been singing it in my head ever since! Ahhhhh! But I do like it. Oh well- heyyyy-ayyy It's a party in the U S A!

For those of you that know me well know that Mothers Day weekend my entire life has been spent branding cows! It was a very emotional day for me since Dad was always the Man in charge that we all listened to for instructions. I cried a few times in the day thinking my children will not get to have all those special times with him that we had. But then I looked around me and realized they are experienceing him... through us. He may not be here but this is an extension of his life that we have been raised to know how to do. Our children will learn this and when the times comes they will take over, just like we had to.

This sweet happy little boy is one of the happiest I have ever met. Which if you knew his Mommy and grandma you would know why. We did his Mommy's bridals and his Newborn pictures a year ago and celebrated by making it an anniversary. He arrived and kept saying Hi and laughing with me. Then we set him down in front of the camera, he did smile quite a bit but he wasn't sure what to think when those chicks got too close to his face. Thanks Gals!! I had so much fun and I love seeing this sweet baby boy! You should have 6 kids, Because they are so cute!

Local Celebrity

Local celebrity in Tooele is Miss Danica! She is our reigning Miss Tooele County. Danica is beautiful on the inside and out. Good luck on the next big Pageant!

Yes in the last image it is my baby girl Lexi. She saw the crown and stalked us during the entire appointment. Danica was sweet enough to make a little girl in pink Jammies very happy by taking her picture with a live Princess!

Prom

So we have had alot of first in the years but this was a very fun first. We did Tooele's Junior Prom and it was a great time. It is such an experience to revisit something you experienced ten years ago. Good times...

It made me think of my first prom, I went with Clinton Fox. We had a limo and I had a beautiful white dress with pink and I just LOVED my jewelry. We did the promenade, which is a choreographed dance the juniors do. Clinton had to kiss my hand in the beginning and it was embarrassing for both of us so he didn't actually do it until the actual prom. So funny. Then after promenade my Dad came down and danced with me, he was the best dancer. That made me cry a little bit during the prom remembering how special it was. But the rest of the time we were jamming to the music, taking pictures, and dancing when we had breaks! Ashlie always causes me to break out in dance while working!

So I have been a slacker on posting- busy times of year I guess. So I will try really hard to get up some of the jobs that I have missed the last while.
This is the Sagers family, some of our good friends. These kids are some of my favorites! This little gals is 8 months old but she looks about two. To make it even better she is almost walking! Shannon sells all the necklaces you see in these prints and the belts too (notice the baby girls belt) SO cute! I have one and I just love these cowgirl necklaces, if you are interested call me and I will give you her number.

So this little guy had me worried. The session was over and his Mom and I were talking about a possible reschedule in case they were awful. I was shocked that we got some where he wasn't crying. We didn't do a re shoot. This family are old friends of mine. We have worked many- many weddings together (I sound like Bob Newhart). But I love this little guy- even though I have only got to see him twice when we have done his shoots. Wooo-Hooo Overstock.com!!!

This was my first time meeting this pretty girl. She is so beautiful and she has an awesome Mom. I have to say this is my very favorite blessing Dress ever. Brinley is a trooper. We took pictures for a long time because I couldn't get enough of her. Sweet little angel. Shoot me but I LOVE her serious face- anyone remember the Precious Moments girl. Thats who I see in her pretty face.

Yes this is a different dress. We loved the other one more than this one so most were taken of the other dress.

Frozen Fingers

So this has happened to me a number of times in my career, but for all of my Photographer friends reading this you can relate. This session was done in extreme fog and extreme cold. We were only out about 1 hour maybe but by the time I got to the cute gal in front of the red blossomed tree (she was last I think) I couldn't move my fingers enough to press the button on my camera. So I put my frozen useless fingers under my shirt on my stomach so the skin could warm the skin- didn't work this time. I drove home with the heater blasting and my fingers in a weird frozen position so that my palms only touched the steering wheel. I need some gloves apparently.

This sweet Family is the Deeleuws. Funny story- The gals that scheduled the appointment had changed her last name and I didn't know who I was taking pictures of that day- until I got there and saw that it was my beloved Deeleuw Family!!! It was a great surprise!! Back in ancient history when I was the Dairy Princess and made my trips to the local Dairy I was going to their home! They used to run the dairy, I just love you guys. It was really fun to see all your family and how everyone is growing up. Thanks for letting me take your pictures.

I am way behind on posting. Yes- I cancelled my Internet at my house so I can only work when I drive to Tooele. To answer your question- I don't have a brain in my head I guess. So I have to drive to town to work so I am not going to post everyone that I missed but I will do a bunch over the next week or so.
So here is my classy family in red. These beautiful little girls hopped off the plane and got ready and came to meet me. They were very good considering all that they had been through that day. I really enjoyed meeting your family. You are all very beautiful and were very well prepared for your session. Thank you!!!!

Nashville Baby!

So yes I am the slacker of the year! We went on this super fun trip to Nashville and I have left you all to wonder how it went. Well no More!! I am going to tell you all about the craziness that was my Nashville experience......

So we got updated on all the new trends and my shopping list got that much bigger. Not that I bought it all but I soon will (I can say that because Matts never going to read this). I had tons of fun with Ann and all my friends new and old.

This is Little Jimmy Dickens... I never heard of him before the Grand Ole Opry either. But he was crazy funny. It was like stepping back in time. LOVED IT!!!!

Obviously me (before I dyed my hair dark a week ago) with my awesome old country CD's. Yes, I did take this picture myself with my timer. I am a huge fan of self portraits.

So here is everybody at the Irish Pub. I didn't drink but I may be the only person that knew that. We were singing LOUD and taking pictures of each other in extreme creative ways.

Ann and Mindy- who is definitley not married to Jon Schmidt. I learned this on the trip of course. Mindy and the artist formerly known as jon Schmidt went with me to the Grand Ole Opry. LOVED IT!!!!

Mindy, Mark, and Allison... can you see how much fun mark had with his 5 new wives. I love being from Utah.

Ahhh Heather. I love you Heather. I think about you frequently and smile. Stay sweet, I used to be like you but life has hardened me into the frigid fun sucker that I now am. It's true I used to be a nice girl. But ahhhhh- I just love Heather.

We ended our night with a little it of experimental electrocution. Yes, I stuck a little metal stick on my head even though I knew before hand that it would hurt really bad and probably make my head red and swollen a bit. Snaps for Mindy who electrocutes herself daily on purpose.

This is my awesome cousin Brandi and her cute family. They flew here from Las Vegas (warm to cold????) to get their family pictures done and flew home right after! Now the kids were so cute in the snow. The entire session they did snowball fights and had so much fun!!!
Funny Story about this session, First I walk to my usual spot by the barn and had to open a gate. Not too worried about it I look up in the corral and see a bull! Now this specific bull has been in the corral in front of my house for weeks and he is not too nice. I walked backwards quickly!
Then during the session the owner of the Bull- my cousin Shawn was there and his dog kept jumping on the kids and I was afraid he was going to get the kids dirty. So I kept calling Shawn to get his dog, which he quickly did. Then at the end of the session I yelled to Shawn to call his dog and he says "It's not my dog"!!!! Haha!!! He just took care of this random dog all through the session.

I have been very good friends with Liz for... almost ever, we date back to working in the meat plant together!! Interesting facts about our previous careers, we both wrapped meat!!! But I did their wedding pictures and I just love this family. I learned secrets for the fountain on youth from Julie (the mom of the group- even though it's hard to tell which one she is), I will share the secret- Mr. Pibb!!! Luckily my seviere Dr. Pepper/Mr.Pibb addiction may come in handy! Oh and Yes girls, Randy is just home from his mission and available (he's cute I know).

This sweet little baby came in a few days ago at almost 4 weeks old- which is a little bit old for a newborn session but as you can see she was so tiny it's almost good that we waited! She wasn't super thrilled to be naked so we did more than usual with her outfit on but I absolutely LOVE them!! This little lady has the neatest parents too- Daddy was super patient through our 3 hour session!!!! Mommy was on the ball bringing way cute headbands and bows! Thanks you guys!

So this cute family really wanted Fall pictures but the canyons were completely winter. So with all the creative juices I could muster I went on an adventure drive and saw that the Tooele Hospital has beautiful red trees and a big field next to it. So we did a shoot at the local hospital. If thats not weird I don't know what is. But I really love them, I think they turned out cute for the odd circumstances.

So we as professionals have those days where we have a huge family scheduled and they only have this ONE day where everyone is in town. Then it is a hurricane outside. That happened this day. So my studio can reasonably do about 9 people- and that's a stretch. So the group photo's are digitally combined. Scary for me but I think they are very cute, but of course I would love to hear what you think. Camille is my very good friend so I really wanted them to be nice.
Allison here is my backdrop we did in class- I was nervous to use it for a big group but I really love the final product.
Last comment- this handsome oldest grandson of the group told me I am a 'Photographic Genius'!!!! Needless to say- I now love him beyond words.

Halloween Babies

So yes- these are me and my babies at halloween!!
We were going to a Halloween party so I decided to do some REALLY FAST Halloween pictures. Thank goodness I did because I lost my little camera on the cruise and it had all of my real Halloween pictures on it. So thanks to my 2 minute shoot we have proof of Halloween 2009.
Below is my neice and son, the little girl is 6 months older but you would NEVER know that by size.

My Handsome Wyatt Baby

Wyatts Fall pictures this year are VERY important. I have all of my chilren's fall picture from this age hanging in the hall. I will never ever change these out so I knew I was shooting for a photo that would be up forever. Talk about pressure!!!! But I love them, because I think he is such a dashing little man of course! It has to be horizontal so I need some votes dear friends, remember it has to be horizontal to Match my hall design. And I haven't photoshopped these yet so don't judge me harshly.

Notice the tongue in the picture above and below (Wyatt above and Daddy below). Wyatt gets his little tongue sticking out of the teeth to the side from his Daddy and I never noticed until this photo shoot. Matt always does this when we are playing around and Wyatt does it ALL the time.

My kids have had their pictures taken in the fall since Alayna was born. I almost got lazy this year with the girls but last minute I decided to go a few minutes early before my sisters sessions and do my own. Their hair wasn't what i was planning but I only had 5 minutes to get them ready from jammies, so there you go. But I look at these and I ache because I love theses gals so much. Alayna goes to Kindergarten next year and I want to hide her in a closet so she doesn't get any bigger. I CAN"T STAND THEM GROWING UP!!!

Lacey's Family got a cute new puppy!!! They needed immediant pictures to add to the family collections of the new addition. Lance was very naughty too, just like Haylee. But that was because he had gotten into serious trouble before the shoot. He made a mountain of baby powder on my sisters living room floor then drove train all over the 'mountain' crushing it into her carpet. He didn't take kindly to time out and therfore was in a bad mood for the session. Oh well.

Do you love the crotch smeling picture- like I said, no work has been done to these but Lance was a stinker so i had very little to start with.

I am sure most of you know Ann as the other Photographer for Broderick Photography. Ann and I went camping and she was due for family pictures so I thought we should do them while we were camping!! It was so fun, and Weyland- the dog- was the best dog I have ever taken pictures of. The fact that he is only a puppy makes it even more amazing. Even funner is that right as we finished (which we only worked for maybe 10 minutes) it started pouring rain but we got alot done before that!
